It can branch the optical fibers in one or more optical cables to provide independent communication channels for different users, so as to realize the transmission and distribution of optical signals. At the same time, the FDB also has waterproof, dustproof and other protection functions to ensure the stable operation of the optical communication system.

The internal structure includes fiber optic splice tray, adapter panel, PLC splitter tray and other parts, which is convenient for optical fiber access, splicing and jumping. The box is must equipped with the device for the cable fixing and sealing material for sealing of the housing and cable ports for outdoor application. Sometimes, the box is also equipped with a lightning protection module to deal with the harsh lightning environment.
